EDIT: Added a two for one dealio! Order two chibis interacting and get that second chibi for half price- totaling $15 for the whole thing!</u>
Heyo 'Puter Peeps,
I'm swallowing my pride here. I'll not waste your time:
My car, the one thing that gets me to and from what little jobs I have (teaching, lessons, babysitting, daycare), isn't fairing too well.
It has dry rot in all four of the tires.
I need to get all four new tires ASAP, plus rotation and balancing due to the bad tires throwing off all of that over time. Any one of the four can blow out at any point, I've been told. My current income goes straight to gas and my student loan payment. To save up with what income I have right now would take a year to get enough for the tires. Can't ask my parents for help (a good example why is they are having to take out of my dad's retirement just to afford basic groceries currently)- not that I would.
So, I'm asking you all, my art peeps.
I'm opening emergency commissions.
Fully rendered chibis at $10
Two chibis in one for $15 (suggested by m'dear

If I can get at least 40 commissions of these, I can afford to fix my car and not risk losing my jobs due to no transportation.
I just- I really abhor asking in these circumstances. I would never ask if I were not in such a pickle... To me, that price still seems too expensive, but even acquiring the 40 needed at that price is looking like a pipe-dream.
I would deeply appreciate it if anyone can help. I will DEVOTE my free-time life to these commissions and PROMISE a swift turn-over.
Well, I hope all is well for you peeps, regardless! Keep on keeping on!

Have you looked into affordable used tires? They'd be cheaper than new tires by a TON, and could get you by for a while to give you more time for all of this! :c
Also, smaller, privately owned garages are likely to be cheaper as well. Just a few suggestions to help with the budget!
How did it manage to get dry rot so bad? ;.; Was it sitting for a long time?
It's definitely a danger to drive on them!
I wish I could help more than just advice, but I'm currently unemployed. >_< I'll advertise you on
I also would recommend making a thread on the DA forums announcing your commissions. That seems to help some people.
Good luck with this!
I have not, actually, hmm! I was actually never aware that you could purchase used tires... What'dya know! I should definitely look into if that'll save me some money in the long run with the rotation and balancing added in. Many thanks for the advice!
That's a very good question that I wish I knew the answer to. :[ The tires are quite old themselves and haven't been replaced in... many years, the sum of which I can't recall, haha. I do know that the car drive through debris on the road a number of times, one particularly bad instance in the past year, which created small holes, contributing to the acceleration of the dry rot.
You have been such a help, my friend! More than I could possible hope to ask! Thank you deeply- the fact you even took time to read my predicament means a great deal to me! <3
Yes, the last time I was in this sort of predicament, I needed 2 tires. The two new ones would have been $174, but two used ones in good condition only cost me $80! 8D
There may be places that sell them, but if you can't find one, asking a mechanic at the garage should be enough. :3
